Music recording and production
As a freelance musician, I offer not only concerts and lessons but also high-quality music recordings for small ensembles. My services are aimed primarily at music students and freelance musicians who need professional recordings for applications, auditions, funding programmes or their own artistic promotion.
I work on a mobile basis and will bring my recording equipment directly to you. All that’s required is a suitable space that’s available for recording – for example, a rehearsal room, hall, church or a quiet classroom. We’ll work together to find the right solution in advance.
Thanks to my many years of training as a classical cellist and my extensive experience in classical chamber music, contemporary music and popular music, I know exactly what makes for a good recording: clarity, naturalness and a sound that reflects the musicians’ personalities.
Having gone through numerous auditions myself, I know the requirements of music colleges, juries and concert organisers from personal experience.
Who is this offer aimed at?
Music students who need recordings for applications or exams
Small chamber music ensembles (duos, trios, quartets, etc.)
Freelance musicians who would like to have professional audio recordings of themselves
Small ensembles in particular
What I offer
Mobile audio recordings in a focused working environment
Musical coaching and feedback during the recording (on request)
Experience gained from working on several CD productions and studio projects
Various genres: classical, chamber music, contemporary music, improvisation, crossover
Footage depicting real-life job application and audition situations
It is important to me that there is plenty of time and a calm atmosphere for the recording, and that you are able to express yourself musically without restraint. The aim is to create an authentic, compelling recording that showcases you to the best possible advantage.
Please feel free to contact me for a personalised quote or if you have any questions. We can discuss your requirements, the location and the timeframe together.
Where will the filming take place?
I work on location and bring my recording equipment to you. The musicians provide the recording venue (e.g., rehearsal space, hall, church, or classroom). The most important thing is that the room has good acoustics!
What types of ensembles do you record?
Only small ensembles: solo, duo, trio, quartet, or similar chamber music groups.
No orchestral productions.
What are these recordings suitable for?
Especially for applications, auditions, competitions, grant programs, and for promoting your own artistic work (website, demos, etc.).
What genres of music are available?
Classical music, chamber music, contemporary music, improvisation, and crossover formats. The focus is always on the music itself.
Can you provide musical feedback while recording?
Yes, upon request, I can provide musical guidance during the recording, offer feedback, and help you produce the best possible version—especially with regard to application requirements. To ensure optimal preparation, please feel free to send me the sheet music in advance.
How does the planning process work?
Once we’ve made contact, we’ll discuss the lineup, repertoire, recording location, and schedule. All other details will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
